Our Destiny Poem by Abby Mize

Our Destiny

Boys in uniforms
Running all around
Girls in uniforms
Screaming out "Rebound"

The game is getting
Exciting and intense
People in the crowd
Are yelling out "Defense"

It is now half time
And we're not winning the game
But we can't give up now
That's not why we came

But now halftime's over
And we're now in the lead
I know we will win
We have God on our team

Fourth Quarter is now
Starting to begin
I can tell by the sounds
The game's coming to an end

Five minutes left
Our score is fifty three
God let us win
This is important to me

The other side needs
To settle down
They aren't gonna win
So stop messing around

Thirty seconds left
Sixty three to sixty one
There's no turning back now
We've already won

Twenty-one point four seconds
And we're at a tie
If we lose the game
I might just die

The buzzer screams out
We're the winning team
You have no idea how much
It means to me

We stand up and shout
And then everyone leaves
The other team should have known
That it was our destiny!
