Our First Kiss - Poem by Annaya The Poet

When I saw you that first night I noticed your beautiful lips
Instant fantasy in my mind for you to kiss from my toes to my hips
Wondering can he really kiss with those beautiful lips?

It was like I knew you saw me like I saw you
Because you starting talking that talk like most men do
Saying things like, I want you to be all mine
And I was thinking the same thing…like, only a matter of time
So when that first embrace happened I knew it would be magical
So intense, described as nearly radical
And it took all I could do, not to turn fanatical
For in that first kiss there was nothing problematical

That first kiss, that first kiss was so intense
Like I melted from my core, it didn’t make any sense
How I felt with the softness of your touch
And right after that I wanted you so much
To hold and kiss and feel you near
To embrace the thought of loving you without any fear
My mind and body were so connected to you
I couldn’t stop thinking about making love to you
And last night in my dreams I traced your lips with my finger tips
I caressed every spot, licked and sucked every drop

It wasn’t so much that emotion was attached
It was more like the excitement of finally meeting my match
My match? You know what the old folk say
Every man and woman meets their match one day
Someone that will turn their whole life around
Someone to lift them up when they’re feeling down
Someone like Bonnie and Clyde that will ride or die,
Someone to kiss away tears whatever reason why.

And that first kiss is so special because it tells it all
Whether we have something real or nothing at all
If we can steal each others hearts and hold them near
Or if we’re both just petrified and filled with fear
My weakness is that I don’t easily give my heart
I’m afraid of rejection and being left falling apart
I’m tired of the games being played too
Just want honesty and someone to accept what I do

I like romance and passion and tenderness to share
I like holding hands and making love; will you be there?
I like being free to kiss and cuddle at the dropp of a hat
Like pulling over on the road to get a quickie like that

I like sneaking touches in the strangest place
Where you come up for air with whip cream on your face
Then the most intimate time for me that I’d like to be
Is in a bubble bath with you falling in love with me
That kiss…that first kiss was the start of something real
Are you ready to show me how good you can feel?
