Our Flag Poem by Bette Roan

Our Flag

Our flag rides high
Waving her colors towards the sky
She is our symbol of hope
She is our symbol of pride.

Strike up the band and join the parade
You'll find our flag leads the way
Men salute in deepest respect, hands to heart
And over the eye as our flag passes by.

When our Astronauts landed on the moon,
Their first thought was to plant the flag
For the entire world to see,
We were first from the land of the free.

Peace time and War time
On sea, on land and in the air
Our Armed Forces treat Old Glory
With tender loving care.

Our Flag is everywhere
No amount of burning or desecration
Can kill the love of the Flag
By millions in this Nation.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag"
