Our Hate, Our Love, Our Friends. The End. Poem by Grace Blah

Our Hate, Our Love, Our Friends. The End.

Rating: 5.0

In the end I realized
Your hate kept me paralyzed.
I wanted to heal your soul
To make you feel completely whole.

You'd always tell me
'One day you'll see,
We'll be old and free.'
How dumb I had to be...

You whisked me in romance
All to play your game of chance
You used my love for your sick game
I sunk into too much shame.

How could you treat me like that?
Make me eat, call me fat
If I'd say no
Pushing you would go

I kept it hidden deep inside
To our friends you lied
Unhappy with our end
A little messenger you did send.

'She did this, she did that
On her back she'd lie flat
I took what she wanted to keep
Until all she wanted was to sleep.

See she was utterly depressed
I just wanted her undressed
I don't care about her now,
I don't care about my vow.

I told her I'd be her friend
I said there would be no end.
My love for her was too true
I was stuck to her like glue *Scoff*

She was so simple to trust me
I told her 'We'd be old and free.'
haha those lies, a knee slapper
I felt fine and dapper.

No matter what she would stay
Because of the traps I would lay.
Now she's happy and fine
That is where I draw the line!

See I've spent too much time and energy
Taking all her independency.
Reflecting in the mirror with such self-hate,
I still don't think I'm too late.

I tell my stories true and old
Inside I'll make her cold
Once again. She'll be mine
And claim she is fine,

But I'll know the pain,
Space in her thoughts I will gain.
Slowly I'll take her world anew,
Tearing a part her new Boo.

Once again my hatred grew
To see her happy I knew
Something needed to be done
So that once and for all I have won.'

You've won

An insightful love poem embellished in poetic rhyme and rhythm. Lovely piece, well articulated and nicely brought forth with conviction. Thanks for sharing Grace.
