Our Moon Poem by barbara williams

Our Moon

Still, dark night
i cease talking to God
i am talking to you
You are watching too
smiling, quietly musing
Look! there is the dark side
but it is not in your mood
You stare long enough to see her return the smile
La Luna with a giant grin
you chuckle, inside
then notice Venus (at least you think its Venus!)
the name conjures thoughts of beauty
and you so
like to think of beautiful things
SHE joins you and thinks you are romantic
you are
as you wonder if I am here
I am
together,
we breathe
the night
