Today as friends we make a pact
Tomorrow as enemies we choose a different path
yesterday's memory is all but forgotten
And all the bonds, broken
Yes thirst for money, i should be the one
I don't care what it takes or what should be done
Its either a war or a battle
And anyone who dares its a wrestle
There are no friends again, i don't need them
All i care about is blood to shed for fame
more money, yes a little is never enough
i don't care about people and all their thoughts
It must be me or nobody
if anyone challenges, its a dead body
these were the words of a man
this was how his story began
But today where is he?
The man who cared about 'me'
decaying along with his riches
Death was the end of the man who was greedy and selfish..

The man who cared about 'me' decaying along with his riches Death was the end of the man who was greedy and selfish.. Beautiful thoughts against selfishness and picturing how such people meet with their ends. a very great poem in its content. thank you dear poet. tony

An insightful depiction of 'vanity upon vanity' well brought forth in good diction with conviction. Thanks for sharing Cynthia.
