Our Place Poem by steve bman

Our Place

Our place

Come with me and sit down here
Let go of anxiety, and let go of fear
For we can go to a place yet seen
Where nobody knows and nobody’s been

Scenery is lush, and the flowers bloom
Weather is glorious, no secrets loom
Where the bees are busy and the birds are singing
No sirens here, no bells are ringing

Tranquillity is where you want it to be
Be it lakeside, or under that tree
The beach is fine on that summer night
The thoughts are there to bring us light

We all need a time and a favourite place
Where our troubles we have to face
We sit, we think, we love, we hope
It’s what we need to live and cope

Our daily lives are strange enough
Our decisions must be strong and tough
The only way to do it with ease
Is to sit with me in this lovely breeze

Pollinating our souls with such attractive thoughts
Takes us to a world where only positives are taught
Where you leave the fighting and battles behind
A tremendous place, an exceptional find
