Our Sisyphean Nightmare Poem by Raymond Farrell

Our Sisyphean Nightmare

It is this great evil
Inflicting mankind
Forcing many to labor
Day in and day out
Not at what they like
But at what they find
This is the cycle of life
And its Sisyphean nightmare
Happy is the person
Who can unite vocation and avocation
Avoid putting in
One drab day after another
Locked in a pitiless desperation
That eats away
The heart and soul.
