Our Values Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Our Values

Our values

It is lie if I say patiently
-no, no, no, not at all
-I listened angrily
-and she talked
-shamelessly
-though sweet
-to shoppers around her
-dealers in politics

"Our values prevail…"
-said PM
-lady May

She spoke and spoke
-strong in her den
-not a word of the why
-no mention of the how

I listened and then read
-anger boiled in my veins
-felt blood evaporate…

"Hey woman, you Thatcher…"
-meant to say but how, where?
-they have tongues, no ear!
-they speak, no brain

Wanted to tell her of…
-the man who killed, murdered
-"…Khalid was of one of you…
-another who would kill…
-would follow word by word…
-the orders of London…
-kill Muslims only if…"

Have to say…it is must
-"…you made him what he turned…
-in your hands against you…
-a sword, knife, he became …
-don't blame the others…
-find the cause in yourself! "

I am a volcano, my breath is Lava
-why do they pretend?
-do they think we are dumb?
-or are they mad, blind?

Why should I accept wrong?
-why always theirs is right?
-why Hindu and Chinese?
-America Indians,
-everywhere
-everyone
-is wrong and falsified
-unless their follower?

No, never Lady May…
-no never…till I die!
