Out Of My Window Poem by Linda Racaniello

Out Of My Window

Rating: 3.5

Out of my window
there is a big wall
it is made of brick
and it's very tall

It blocks the sun
shelters the rain
closes in my yard
and keeps in pain

Next is the fence
it's 14 feet high
electrically charged
Touch it and die

Welcome to Jail
where inmates dwell
locked in and forgotten
Yes - Prison is hell

Out of my window
there is a wall
it's made of brick
and it's very tall

Some play for keeps
Others can chose
Some go to heaven
and others just lose

Next is the fence
it's 14 foot high
electrically charged
touch it and die

When you did know
you were on the wrong path
did you get to jail
before you knew his wrath

Welcome to Jail
Where Inmates dwell
Locked in and Forgotten
YEA - Jail is Hell
