Out Of Town Poem by Ragy Sandid

Out Of Town

I promised to visit
But I'm out of town
I'll see you next time
When I come around

I said we'd meet
But I'm out of town
But you wont' see me coming
I won't make a sound

I told you the secret
But I'm out of town
Please keep it near and neat
So we discuss what we found

I loved to tell you the truth
But I'm out of town
I'm building us a tower
First, I have to dig the ground

You left when you shouldn't
I was out of town
When you said you could but couldn't
Why should I frown

Such are high hopes
When we're out of town
We can't bag them all
When divisions surround

I leave you in peace
I'm out of town
When meetings shut
Other doorways are bound
