Out The Window Poem by elysabeth faslund

Out The Window

Rating: 5.0

Out the window...grey, chilly day
Highlighted by weeds...backyard.
Tired leaves, too exhausted to
Fight for color,
Flippin down...spiraling a 'goodbye'.

Out the window...Winter has won
Again. Time of trial has come.
Wolf curled on pine needles...still.
Bushy tail over her face...warm.

Out the window...
One Magnolia blossom.

You paint an evocative picture of the grey that is winter - the one magnolia blossom offers a glimmer of hope and a stoic symbol of strength and beauty amongst a stark and resigned landscape. A beautiful poem Elysabeth. Justine x
