Outspoken Spells Poem by Lani Zwane

Outspoken Spells

You'll know by outspoken smells
That, that's her passing
The one I warned had enchanting spells
Too commanding
Eyes compelling charms
Too demanding

From are eyes meeting
You'd tell a tale in of mutual feeling
I'd look at her, then away
Then again, she'd do the same

Harmonic interruptance
Southern winds coloured by her placid silence
My lips are licked
Her diamond eyes blinked
A tease with calmness that please
Felt as that was meant to seal a pretentious kiss

The day
became complete...that way
