It's been over a year,
And I'm still fighting for us.
16 months of tears,
So much broken trust.

If I promise to forgive you,
And let you hold my heart,
Would you grasp it close,
Or let it slowly fall apart?

Because I'm sick of every excuse
And I'm tired of all the lies.
Please just tell me the truth,
I can't deal with more goodbyes.

I know we can fix this,
We always make it through.
16 months of lips kissed.
Over a year of "I love you".
