Overcast Saturday Poem by Arno Le Roux

Overcast Saturday

Rating: 4.0

Overcast Saturday

Two lovers in warm arms cuddling lay
Welcoming rain clouds swelling up grey
None jumping to the kettle the tea will stay
Looking into wanting eyes into urges can't weigh
Heads aiming closer helping lips somewhere greet
Sweet rain falling softly echoing up from the street
Hypnotized tasting sweetness as wilder clouds meet
Nails running backs controlling hearts' increased beat
Thunder rushing closer to drown out the noise
Of two lovers again as one ignoring all poise
Competing with the love storm lighting apologize
And another and another the weather advertise
Click went the kettle hot tea water done
Thinner the clouds as the light through came shone
Looking out to sea lovers held hands as one
Smiling at each other as usual the weather they'd won
