Overkill Poem by Krissy Disillusion

Overkill

What happened to the lost promises
we made those years ago?
Now I'm stranded, desolate,
gasping from under crushed bones.
Walking in darkness all alone.

Where has our sweet future gone?
We needed to wake.
I'm lost screaming with no voice
watching my world break.
To breathe I need your face.

Let me be your life.
I can no longer cry.
How long can I hold to this false air and abide?

I'm still watching, holding hope
you will finally see.
You were more than everything
I need you to need me.
Can't you let this be?

A lover's loss, a lover's bane
plummeting downhill.
I look into those eyes tonight
and see love's overkill.
Amended to your will.

Be my world again.
Let go and give in.
End this echoing midnight I can't ever comprehend.

I'd cave in the end.

For how much longer?
