Owl Creek Poem by Wes Thompson

Owl Creek

my breath comes
unraveled
from laughs I've
had without her
but life seems
so stale
when my love is
like water
and I listen
for his words
but for god's sake
the world turns
like water
and if this is
what it takes
I'll give up my
sperate snakes
for her lips
on my grave
one more worth
to be saved
we walk in
chains for love
but fly in our dreams
like water
