Is it ok if I cry for a while-
Just lay here and drown?
It's ok if you say no...
I'm a liar after all.

I guess I wasn't expecting
You to understand-like you do.
You just held me as I told you
Every flaw I had.
We both cried-holding on tight-
Until I pulled myself together.

I'm pretty sure I looked awful.
But you just smiled-
And the world was right.

That's when I decided
I'll protect you- protect you from
Those that hate us.
Just to protect that smile-

Keep smiling -please- for me.
