Pair Of Deuces Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Pair Of Deuces

The uninspired man
Droll with conviction without passion
Savoy dreams of parsed sanity
Compromised with order
Dull prose without edge
Aspirations of hoard bland
Look in the mirror and admire yourself
Have you seen the cliffs?
Time ends like a ghost
Reflections fading in water
A pair of deuces
Your bluff is up

Wind blows like a sea
White noise of harmony
Random notes of free forces
Protected by a fledging democracy
Poetry summoned by strange sultans
Benevolence with red and crimson lions
Blue ocean vases replace the sky
Remember when you were real
All the ass kissers copy Helen Steiner Rice
Death throes forlorn in mediocrity
Puffed up like peacocks from nursing homes
What do you expect from a pair of deuces
