Pale Blue Dot Poem by Gary Edward Geraci

Pale Blue Dot

Your Love bathes us in sun.
One strange Valentine's Day.
Pale blue dot; only one.

Voyager 1, billion
Plus miles gone, turns their way.
Your Love bathes us in sun.

Space probe spent, spin, and spun;
Locks eyes; Sole, brown band, Ray.
Pale blue dot; only one.

Strife, fight, and kill they've done.
Burdened beasts bray and neigh.
Your Love bathes us in sun.

Life eternal they've won,
Would they just worship; pray.
Pale blue dot; only one.

'Loved, I gave you my Son,
Whom you did whip and flay.'
Your Love bathes us in sun.
Pale blue dot; only one.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Q. What form of poetry is " Pale Blue Dot" written in? A. I wrote it in a traditional form called villanelle; the same form that I used for writing " On The Fence" . I'd like to thank my Instagram followers and readers for their love and support. None of this inspiration to write would have been possible had God not first come to our tiny planet as Man; in the form of Jesus Christ, by the will of his Father and through the assistance of the Holy Spirit to carry out a plan of salvation for us. Thank you Lord!
