Pale Moon. Poem by Anni Birgit Sørensen

Pale Moon.

We met like strangers do.
Our love was born
at the beginning of time,
at the end of the world.

The night was dark and cold
pale moon light shinning through
misty clouded sky.
Heaven should be blue,
so very true.

Deep in our hearts
happiness found a place.
Where ocean tangles the sky,
where life seems to sunrise.

Everyday was hard and lonely
until we changed our ways
until the truth of spring.
Heaven should be blue,
so very true.

Reflection in a mirror
dreamlike recognition.
Like a mirage of souls,
springtide in a lost desert.

Golden stars gave direction
pale moon dust made it happen
kind destiny brought morning.
Heaven should be blue,
so very true.

A tender water course
carried by angels mercy.
Colours send from rainbows
blissful blue waterfall.

Heaven should be blue,
so very true.

Still the moon is pale.
