Pale Tribute Poem by Adeniregun Adedamola

Pale Tribute

The wolf stalk it's prey
Planning his destructive measure
Not because of the law of the jungle
No one will questions it's attack and decision
The lion supports all it's action.

The wolf with an untraceable lineage
Claims the sheep holds it's father heritage
Claims it's land belongs to his people
And not the sheep claims it's ownership
No one dare questions it's action
The lion agrees to all it's actions.

The sheep having been occupant for centuries
Along with it's brothers shares it's land to the wolf
When it got thrown out from the carnivores pack
The wolf ungratefully holds the throat of it's helper
Destroying there home after few decades
The wolf will always be an unreasonable ingrate.

The council of jungle chiefs seems useless
Couldn't perform their responsibility of
Protecting the jungle citizens
The lion precedes over their meeting
No one dares Question the wolfs Decision
The lion is always right.

The Elephant feels unconcerned
The tiger tries to protect it's position
The pig, busy protecting it's farm
The Rhinoceros, it's family from extinction
The Zebra, it's white stripes seems too important
