Pampered Snowflakes Poem by Edmund V. Strolis

Pampered Snowflakes

Rating: 5.0

Marshmellow haven for simple minds
Professors and puppy dogs
On the campuses we find
Fattened frogs and polliwogs
The home of free speech?
What a joke, what a scam
Practice what you preach
You won't but I sure can

Pampered ninjas hit the streets
protected by the city wimps
Police stand by or in retreat
All dressed up like circus chimps
So what about the bill of rights?
Just ideas to pick and choose?
Surrendering without a fight
I have those Berkeley campus blues
Hooded punks, covered faces
Brainwashed bumbling bums
Snowflakes crying for safe places
Boo-hoo for the simpletons.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Here in America is the ultimate hypocrisy. People who defend free speech by silencing opposing viewpoints in any way necessary while the city and police stand by. This is everywhere, the workplace and the media and especially those bastions of free expression and learning the college campus.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I can understand your pain and outrage, Edmund. Your poem is a powerful rebuke on America's, nay the world's, hypocrisy. Well done. (10)

I have no idea how America appears to the rest of the world considering the propaganda and unrelenting campaign to spin conspiracies out of dung. If you want one fair and revealing window into this madness I suggest that you watch Tucker Carlson on YOUTUBE or whatever means possible. The absurdity has gone so far that I decided that all I can do is laugh at them. Anything else would be bad for my health. They are not interested in honest debate or conversations or solutions and the good of the nation is never factored in when they sabotage the President's agenda in order to form a wedge created by hysteria and complete fabrication. There are strong common sense Americans and snowflake globalists that use identity politics as a tool to create an imaginary division. A child can see through the transparency and those traitorous selfish groups that use Soviet style misinformation should be ashamed but half of them can know no shame and the other groups have mentally surrendered to this childish propaganda. Truth is the first victim and to these globalists the means justify the ends. I think it is criminal to indoctrinate a population with lies. Technology now allows these pretenders to use social media to inundate the gullible with perpetual fiction. It is a tribute to all good even minded souls that they life experience and upbringing enough to see easily through this transparent cynical web of deceit. Fight the good fight my friend and remember to give an extra hug to those that bring you joy!

A satirical piece. In today's world the question of freedom of speech is an important one. Almost all societies are divided into liberals and conservatives...both are loud and vocal in their demeaning of the other but i think this is just polarizing people and paving the way for a culture of intolerance. Unfortunately, debate that is supposed to be a healthy activity is sadly declining into a clash of egos.

When a difference of opinions leads to violent actions and destruction of property then these criminals have gone too far.I know action speaks louder than words but some hot-headed individuals need to learn self control..good poem..a ten..
