Pan Poem by Sheena Blackhall

Pan

What was he doing the great god Pan?
He was mourning the death of Nature
Of icebergs shrinking, of woodlands burning
Of harm to each land and creature

What was he doing the great god Pan?
He was choking from air pollution
He was drowning from flooding across the world
He was panicked with no solution

What was he doing the great god Pan?
He was grieving the oceans warming
He was keening deforestation
Lamenting the planet's dying
