Pangs Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Pangs

Though
The Lifeless
Mortal frame
Laying dead
On the ground
Some unknown
Force
Assisting yet
A similar talk:
‘Aren’t you?
You’re going
Going to break
Break my heart’.
Oh! No,
Not at all
As if, his beloved
Sharmilee replied.

‘I too, disbelieve
And definitely
Let you go
Into my heart
Into the ocean
Ocean of my love
Unto you
Reconciling
All that throbs
In your heart
Recognizing
The true beauty
Not just a mask
Satisfied
Disclosing not
The desires
Burying
Them all
In my heart.’

‘It’s on fire
It’s not a spark
It’s flames
Still, I feel
Burning
With no plug
No switch
No stitch up
No sting
No regret at all.’
