Panoramic Wintery Whimper Poem by Amarantus Lauriere

Panoramic Wintery Whimper

The sky is sinking into the small hours' somber sea.

All level of magnitude, messed up and muffled.

The horizon is hurtling the huge hiatus' soaring spree.

All space of serenity, shrunk up and shuffled.

Deep into bald night, moon caged stars shy,

Nothing but darkness bobs and bounces,

Lack of light, high and dry,

My missing mood, weighted by yet a few ounces.

Right amidst widowed winter,

Nothing but chillness pricks and pinches,

Harking back to hopeless hinter,

My meandrous memory, lengthened by yet a few inches.

It's when blighted brightness brooks but breaks no bleak brink,

And when deterred warmth wants and wot no past pink.
