Progression Of Romance Poem by Amarantus Lauriere

Progression Of Romance

Mistiness best marks romance in the raw,
like gossamer petals bestrewing calm lakes.
Consummation makes it a well-done kickshaw,
the way sapid episodes spice up bland cakes.

Nude are new-sworn pledges in nuptial nest,
like new-born fledglings perching together.
Foster faith gets them gracefully dressed,
the way good care breeds fine feather.

That's how the aroma of amour spreads and spins,
wide unto each inch of smooched skins,
deep into each side of attached bosoms,
from blurred buds to full-blown blossoms.

That's how pumped-up hearts read puckered-up lips,
as is melodized in both brisk aubades and smooth serenades.
That's how passion of moments harbingers prosperity of decades,
as will be witnessed by alternate seasons and monsoonal trips.
