Paper And Pen Poem by Lemuel Madeja

Paper And Pen

For eons, I have been silent and cried,
Allowing all things pass by while blinding my sight,
However, the alignment of stars changed, and it's my turn to rise the ranging tides.
They will see how tremendous it was for igniting the home of fire.

They taped my lips so I wouldn't make any sounds.
They severed my tongue so that I couldn't say anything, leaving me vulnerable and weak,
They sued my rights and dignity, and even smiled seeing me stumbling down.
Now let us see who is the strongest one to reach the highest peak.

With my paper and pen, I'll expose your nasty demeanors.
My words cut deeper than a sharper knife can do.
I shall do my absolute best, pouring out my tears, griefs, blood, and soul.
And one day you will be there, where?
The 'ideal place you can call home'.
