Paper Boat Poem by Aaryan Kakkar

Paper Boat

Through the rainbows a dream I saw
Of us under the mistletoe
I wish only if I could draw
Like you and me on a paper boat

Sleeping till twelve on weekends
Fighting over the doorbell
Childish but we were best friends
Our story was something we could tell

But then life took the real stance
Where I wasn't your prince charming
Never did you give me the chance
Of hearing you say darling

The rainbow had now disappeared
And so had my wedding coat
And the thing that had rock bottom neared
Was my silly paper boat
