Let's stroll the imaginary—cherish a false memory
Let's say the way I gauged you, you framed a dreamy reverie
Let's pretend you tugged at my hair while we pranced in a hamlet fair,
Let's gather I lived in your smiles while you fleeted in my yearning stares
Let's pretend you chose my colours to be poured onto the ice-lollies & I pranced penning your name, holding straight your banner brollies
You know you saw me in the crowd when I cheered for you enamoured,
And then you smiled so satiated for you caught me in the cheer galore
We know we hummed the same music, breathed the same petrichor.
The night, the moon, the dew, the haze & the same rain we bore
Let's say we see everything and nothing needs to be shown
Let's pretend this poem is unnecessary for this is what we've always known
