Can one of the parts of me that makes a person whole, find a voice, speak up, and tell the rest of me to stop,
stop being annoying,
stop being embarrassing,
stop thinking that it's me that needs to stop.
Can one of the parts of me be a little kinder to the others,
Can all of the parts of me learn to love each other,
Look each other in the face and tell each other they're proud.
Can that part of me that I can't change, and makes others hate me be accepted by my parts,
the others don't understand...
but remind the parts of me to be kind to them as they catch up.
Can one of the parts of me remind the others that they are fierce, brave and strong, ....
never forget how hard these parts work to keep each other alive.
Can the parts of me that sometimes feel they'd be better off dead, but still wake each other up to begin another day,
And never breathe a word about the time they felt happier playing dead;
Can all the parts of me forgive when they've been hurt,
love those who've hurt them,
and still be willing to love long after others would see something broken
Can one of the parts of me tell the other as long as there are parts, we will never be alone.
