Pass The Peas Please Poem by Josephine Lauderdale

Pass The Peas Please

I have a banquet
All for me
I am going to see

It was set by them
That Ma and Pa

Don't worry
The food is still good

Reynolds and saran
Have done a good job
Keeping me fresh

Now I know
They did their best
No blame
I can handle the rest

Was a time
I thought I knew it all

But now they're gone
So

I will unwrap
When i am ready
To go through the line

It might take some time

Desert....My Prize

Nice and unique poem! I love the playful and easy flow to this piece. You took the metaphor and extended it in a perfect way the entire way through. A great read!
