Passing Of Time During Corona Days Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Passing Of Time During Corona Days

I am reading Salman Rushdie
Taking his books from the shelf,
Midnight's Children,
The Moor's Last Sigh,
Haroun and the Sea of stories,
The Enchantress of Florence,
The Prophet's Hair
To pass time.

And taking ginger flavoured
Liquor tea,
Tulsi patta,
A few herbal basil leaves
With a spoon of honey
In the morning
Sometimes altering with
Distasting it all neem patta
And sometimes trifala churna
A little bit of mixed water.

If possible a cup of warm milk
In the morning
With chayawanprash,
Take you two cloves of garlic
With a small glass of water,
If has milk, leave it,
If not take you sour curd,
A little bit with boiled rice
And a pinch of salt
And if not, it may be with rice puffs.
