Past Messages Poem by Naveed Akram

Past Messages

Can we undo the messages of a past
That is like the sun no longer prevailing?
Yet the lessons of simplicity are exact,
Their points of simplicity encase the might.
The past envelops the space of a century,
Warping the festivals of the heavens as
Light travels towards the heights, the weights.
Mindful men connect and hide to convince
The might of the nations to reconsider.
To shape words the rest of the century
Must pervade and perform like no other.
Time is the trusting factor, a dimension
Of brilliant light, and solution to the misery.
A past event shines tonight, like the weight
Of a yearning so brilliantly sighted.
