As I follow in his footsteps, I know he’ll lead the way.
I get closer to heaven with every passing day.
I’m on the path of righteousness, leading toward the Lord.
Praying and listening as He speaks his mighty word.
With every passing step, I’m reaching closer to my goal.
The saving and cleansing of my once tortured soul,
Whenever I have doubts, whenever I have fear,
I always reach my heart toward God, for I know that he’s near.
Searching for the truth, I know I will not be deceived,
I’m following the path of God, this I do believe.
