I’m not governed by the Patterns of Life,
As I do live alone,
So I can rise and go to bed
When I wish now ~ in my own home.
But when, in time I return to you,
To our Marital Home,
I’ll have to conform to your way of life,
When, once before, it was the Norm.
I watch T.V. till the early hours,
See educational aspects of Life,
Travel Programmes of places far,
That I visited before you were my Wife.
But now my Life restricted is,
By this Disease I did not want,
For the pleasures we could together enjoy,
I find that my body can’t.
So now I sleep in my armchair,
And wake late to watch T.V.,
And hope that I can retire to bed,
At the latest ~ by half past three.
