People - Poem by Marilyn Lott

It doesn’t matter where you visit
Families are pretty much the same
Cultures of course are different
But every day lives basically remain

The sun rises and it sets
On each unique place on earth
People do the best they can
Every day there’s a brand new birth

But it’s so fascinating to notice
What countries have for us to see
Buildings so old and ancient
People working relentlessly

Scotland with its fine traditions
Beautiful structures built long ago
Countryside and vegetation
So different than what we know

But the world is all about people
And they are the same everywhere
We all just do the best we can
And most folks are loving and fair!
