People Come And Go Poem by Biyaya Y.

People Come And Go

Learning detachment is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.
In the world we live in, many people are so consumed with themselves that they rarely consider how their actions affect others.
People hurt people.
People betray people.
And somehow, they walk away believing they've done nothing wrong.
So, to those with hearts as soft and sincere as mine, this is for you:
Learn to be kind, even when kindness is not returned.
Learn to remain your authentic self, even when others choose deception.
Learn to be genuine in a world where emotions are often performed instead of felt.
Become emotionally independent, so that the character people reveal is a reflection of them—not a wound you carry.
Become emotionally independent, so your focus remains on God, on yourself, and on the life you're building.
Always remember:
People come, and people go.
So don't become overly attached.
Don't make your emotional well-being dependent on anyone else's presence, approval, or consistency.
Because people come and go.
But your peace, your purpose, and your kind heart are worth protecting.
