People Without Hearts - Poem by Slava Olchevski

I signed my life away,
I gave up all my rights
For promise of better life
To people without hearts

They tell me what to do
They tell me how to live
And since I depend on them
I am the one they deceive

People without hearts
I see it in your eyes
Despite the lies you tell
Despite all your disguise

I am just a pawn in your play
A fodder for your guns
A virgin for your stupid,
Fucking crazy sons.

People without hearts,
I wonder what makes you tick
Money, power or else...
These thoughts are making me sick

People without hearts
You signed your life as well
The secret you’d never tell -
Your master lives in Hell.
