Percy Bysshe Shelley Poem by Nicolas GRENIER

Percy Bysshe Shelley

alas
a hail or a rain
a hell in chains
a shell of a man
a shelf life
a timeless shelter

shelving for archives
breaking the shell and the hell
sailing and healing and soothing
burning skulls on a sky blue beach
in a corner meditating on the past
in the bay of lerici in the stormy clouds

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
