Above the fields, up in the sky
Twirling and flipping in the breeze.
Our souls they fly so very high
Oh don't you leave me please.
We were once of them down below
Dancing and prancing about,
But now I retire from that meadow
And that old body no longer stout.
I fly by you, you fly by me
As the wind carries us away,
To new lands for us to see
Ending such a fantastic day.
Oh the night so dark and crisp
Times in for it's daily shift,
And warns us perfectly, without lisp
It pushes the sun through a mountain rift.
This cold gives you a mighty shiver,
So I hold you oh so near,
And calm your uneasy quiver
With my warming love right here.
Our sanity begins to grow weak;
No I don't mean mad.
For all we need is to find somewhere to sleep,
How about this lilypad?
You dream of me and I of you,
We even cuddle together.
Oh how romantic for us two,
Holding each other as soft as a feather.
The sun rays crack open our weary eyes,
And paint light upon the lands.
Soon we will fly into the skies.
My darling, another perfect day is in our hands.
