Perhaps It's The Best They Can Do Poem by Paul Warren

Perhaps It's The Best They Can Do

So sad all the time
As the world looks fine
Perhaps it's the best they can do

When I see them they just look away
And don't want to see me today
Perhaps it's the best they can do

They look tired and not interested
And don't want to be here
Perhaps it's the best they can do

They have a partner who is sick
Who they have to love everyday
Perhaps it's the best they can do

There are other times when
Your judgement is called on them
Perhaps that is the best you can do?
