Perhaps Love is like a resting place
a shelter from a storm,
it exists to give you comfort
it’s there to keep you warm.
In the times of trouble
when you feel the most alone,
the memories of true love
will bring you right back home.

Perhaps Love is like a big window
or maybe even an open door,
it invites you to come closer
and wants to show you more.
And if you think you’ve lost yourself
confused on what to do,
the memory of true love
will always see you through.

Perhaps love is like a cloud
a soft pillow made of steel
and for some it’s a way of life
and for others a way to feel.
Some say love is “holding on”
and others say “letting go”,
for some love is everything
and there are those who just don’t know.

Perhaps Love is like the ocean
full of conflict mixed with change,
like a fire when it’s cold outside
or thunder when it rains.
So if I shall live forever
and all my dreams came true,
Perhaps Love would be the reason,
filled with memories of me and you.
