Neither you nor today shall define my fate,
Nor trial nor tribulation shall celebrate,
No restless wave shall lead me to the grave,
No heaviest foe shall rob me of what I crave,
Nor running tides shall force me to see,
The perils lurking within the vast sea.
In the ocean's deep, I'll rise with a leap,
Even when I crawl, reaching the peak,
I'll speak when the sky wears a cloak so bleak,
No foaming deep can lull me to sleep,
Nor deepest sea can make me perceive,
The dangers that lie beneath, I believe.
The gentle wind won't make me rush or flurry,
Rootless oppression won't make me in a hurry,
Today and tomorrow won't bring me worry,
The tumultuous tides won't make me scurry,
Today's challenges won't stunt or bury,
In the face of the sea, I won't be sorry.
Not you, but a savior can guide my way,
You've numbered my days, this I convey,
Today and tomorrow, I won't meet decay,
Sorrow's furrows won't lead me astray,
The sea of troubles won't make me sink and sway,
I'll face each day, unafraid, come what may.
Neither the highest peak nor the deepest sea,
Shall tempt me into the perilous decree,
For I am strong, resilient, and free,
With unwavering spirit, I shall always be,
Conquering all, from danger I'm set free,
In the realm of the sea, I find serenity.
