In lands afar, where sunbeams gleam,
One nation's might, a restless dream.
Across the globe, on every shore,
Their flags are planted, asking for more.
Not one, but hundreds, strong and vast,
Like seeds of power, they are cast.
From east to west, and north to south,
Their soldiers stand, with silent mouth.
The world has many lands, so wide,
But one holds bases, side by side.
Why spread so far, this mighty hand?
When all they wish is to defend their land?
These cities built, of metal bright,
They watch the day, they guard the night.
Not just to see, but to command,
A watchful eye, across the sand.
So questions rise, like morning mist,
'If peace you seek, why so much risk? '
On every continent, but one alone,
A global presence, widely known.
