Personal Peace - Poem by Brett Carter

Pushing that anxiety down
I smile at a sunny day
Should I worry and frown?
Or should my soul go out to play?

I'll smash down negativity
Like garbage in a can
And dump it into yesterday
Now I make a stand

I own this moment, it is real
Into worry, I will not flee
But just enjoy peace right now
And in it I am free.
