Personality Poem by Scott J. Shepard

Personality

Heavy rain falls on the dashboard
They're tiny ink blots,
As if Rorschach's

I can see her personality
Running down the window shield in the downpour
running mascara

I see the ink on this page
I want to take my thumb,
and smudge those words away

it feels more like her

I begged the senator of a storm
to wash away their clouds today
To soften their grey
To wipe those tears from her cheeks away

I saw the sun on the horizon
I've seen her smile in the strange
She knows all too well the ridicule of insane
