The Familiar Strange Poem by Scott J. Shepard

The Familiar Strange

There! The evolution of the voice
is off the ritz and springs the wire.
A trip is an anomaly to the
Metropolitan.

Its that one that spoke to me from
the familiar strange and
headed for the river rock.

Its up against the wall I say!
And protests to mention how
the skyline bends and tells us the turn
around is the pursuit of truth.

There are two ways to go and we
are behind the times.

The paradigm to him was getting
picture perfect like low lit streets and
soapbox orators.

It was meant for the herds.
