Perspective - Poem by Joe Prieto

it starts with a light that grows larger by day
to grasp this new world is not out of my way
emotion that drives us, i cannot say why
a fluke in our nature that carries us by
the joys overwhelming i stand up and grow wings!
momentum begins as we step into swing
the skys only infinite as infinite goes
but finite is life and is gone to who knows
the world was all mine a few seconds ago
now that im trapped in a world of my own
