the petals of love
and the grip they hold on me
I see you in every rose as I walk by.
I see you in the petal
on the blossoms from garden
of rose and all smell from
vines honeysuckle
touches my skin.
how I love you!
and I still wonder why?
Petals fall to the earth
in colors of velvet red and gold.
The breeze carries them
as I watch them float.
You took
my precious petals of love.
Petals that only fall
once in a lifetime.
Soft are the feathers
and snowhite as the dove.
With words I pen
precious petals in rhyme.
Promise me forever
that you'll stay sit
at my window watching
birds flew singing,
green mild leaves dances
with the melody it glance
the sunshine glow rays
shining through
upon your face....
remember
my name you whispher
shine warmth rays
into your heart......
Petals of poetry
are forever ours to hold.
